Life at Colyton Grammar

Recently, Year 7 student Shreyas took part in the DJCA Devon Individual Chess Championships and Schools Competition 2023, which was conducted at Teign School on 2nd December 2023. 

This was a tough competition involving 22 players from different parts of Devon including Torbay and Plymouth. He won five games and drew one more, achieving a score of 5.5 out of 6. He was awarded with the Under 14 Devon Individual Chess Championship trophy, this is on top of the Under 11 Devon Individual Chess champion title he was awarded last year.
