In April 1887, Mr McKaig was appointed as the new Master for the School.Colyton Grammar 1890s

The Master took all boys from the Colyton Parish on payment of three guineas per boy.  Spring Term 2018- Inspire Talks for All Students

We've had a busy term welcoming alumni, businesses and parents to the school to share their experiences with the students. Mark Richdon (OC 2009) shared his finance career path with the students, Dr Hill from the University of Exeter enthused students about an academic biosciences career, we had Holly Seddon (OC1996) a successful author visit from Amsterdam and we ended the terms with a vibrant talk on branding, marketing and building a brand from a Devon dog food manufacturer Forthglade by the managing director.

 Corporate Partnership with Axminster

The school has forged links with Axminster Tools and Machinery in order to support our talented Design and Technology students. The local business has a very experienced engineering department and Dave Foden has been working with Colyton students for the last six months.

His work has involved appraising students' work for exams, discussing projects, and best practice. Students are extremely grateful for this ongoing support as they progress through their A Level. They will continue to receive mentoring and professional guidance from the business as Dave, D&T staff and the students have discussed plans for the year ahead. Jason W in Year 12 explains the benefits this partnership has “D&T is more than just designing and building products; Axminster Tools & Machinery has been helping us improve communication and creative skills beyond what the A-level course offers.”

Colyton Grammar School is establishing a network of corporate supporters, that enhance the experiences that the students receive at the school.
