Colyton Grammar School is the largest school provider of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in the South West and as such is a leading school in the Ten Tors event. This year the school fielded five teams making it the biggest state school contributor. Ten Tors is not a race, but a challenge and all of our students rose to this challenge displaying exemplary character; perseverance, resilience, individual creativity and teamwork. All five teams had completed the event by midday coming across the line in their groups; in harmony and with great joy. On Thursday break, we celebrated students’ success with lots of cake and conversations about blisters and swollen feet! Despite the tiredness and painful feet, they are already planning next year’s 45-mile and even 55-mile challenges – good luck! Huge thanks to Mrs Byron and her team of staff and parent supporters.
