Mandarin to a Tea

Our Year 7 Mandarin students are learning everyone's favourite topic - Food and Drink! In the Chinese culture, teaching drinking is an important part of people's daily life. We have looked at the history of tea and its spreading around the world as well as learning key etiquette about drinking tea in China. We even mocked up a Chinese tea houses in our classroom and everybody drank some jasmine tea whilst chatting to their peers in Mandarin.  We all used the etiquette that we learnt, and everyone was a very polite tea drinker!
