Our Under 13 softball cricket team has had a fantastic run of games, showcasing talent, teamwork and determination in every match. With a series of dominant performances against local schools, the team has built a strong reputation and a winning streak to be proud of at the East Devon tournament held at Whimple Cricket Club.
Colyton 59 – Cullompton 45
A solid start to the series with a composed performance all round. Izzy L was named Player of the Match for her impressive contributions with both bat and ball.
Colyton 68 – Exmouth 40
Confidence continued to grow as the team secured another strong win. Maddie earned Player of the Match for her explosive batting and sharp fielding throughout.
Colyton 74 – Sidmouth 47
This match saw both batting and bowling brilliance, with Katie standing out as Batter of the Match and Amelie as Bowler of the Match. A commanding display from the whole team
Colyton 112 – Kings 46
An incredible team performance led to the highest score of the tournament so far. Maddie shone again as Batter of the Match, whilst Katie took key wickets to earn Bowler of the Match.
Colyton 125 – Axe Valley 33
The team saved the best for last, scoring a huge 125 runs and limiting Axe Valley to just 33. Zofia was outstanding with the bat, and Amelie once again delivered an exceptional bowling performance. A special mention goes to Maddie and Mattie, who stepped up brilliantly and achieved teachers’ player of the tournament. They provided leadership and skill when it mattered most. Finally, a huge thank you to Izzy W for coming along to help umpire, your support made a big difference to the smooth running of the matches.
Well done to the whole squad for an excellent series of games. The teamwork, sportsmanship, and energy on display were second to none.
