British Science Week
British Science Week started yesterday (Monday 09 March) with all Year 9 students off timetable to build roller coasters in Cottrill Hall. This exciting project saw students work in teams to design and make a model rollercoaster before testing and evaluating their creations.
Today, Year 9 and 10 students will be treated to a talk by Julian Hector, Director of BBC Natural History, about his role on Blue Planet II.
Later in the week Year 8 students are due to spend time with members of the emergency services to talk about how science is used within their roles and students will be treated to a talk by Sir James Bevan, Head of Environment agency.
