Student Innes F competes in World Athletics Junior (U20) Cross Country Championships

Last month, Colyton Grammar School student Innes F competed in the World Athletics Junior (U20) Cross Country Championships. It is not often that we get to write about a student competing on the world stage and this is evidence enough to state that Innes is a most amazing athlete.  

Innes, still a youngster in this event, came 17th and was the highest ranking European in a race dominated by Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes (10 of the top 12 finishers). This is a brilliant outcome for her. Not only is Innes exceptional in her running but she also personifies the school’s value of humility. In short, she is a perfect role model for the entire school community. Well done and we wish her good luck for the upcoming summer events.
