"It was the Year 8 Residential in 2024 and I decided to get involved with the muddy assault course the students were doing. Unfortunately, I was unable to pull myself out of a giant mud pit I found myself in, and just kept sliding back into it as I attempted to crawl out.

The students, seeing my distress, then came forward and between about 4 of them managed to push/pull me out. It was wholly undignified but we all had a good laugh about it and the students were so lovely and just liked that I'd taken part in the activity with them.

The mud was soon washed off when, on a rope crossing over the river, students decided to grab the rope and shake it until I fell in the water. The whole trip was just a joy thanks to how wonderful, funny, polite and lovely the students were." - Mrs Bean, Librarian
