Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for students’ progress, wellbeing and achievement. By law, the school must record and publish attendance and absence data, including unauthorised absence, and all registers must be completed accurately.
Reporting an absence
If your child is unable to attend school, parents/carers must notify the school before 9.30am on each day of absence, stating the reason.

Please ensure contact is made for every day your child is absent so that the absence can be correctly recorded.
Requests for leave during term time
The law states that the Headteacher may only authorise absence in exceptional circumstances. Any request must be made in advance using the S2 Leave of Absence Request Form. Absence taken without prior authorisation may be recorded as unauthorised and could result in further action.
