What's Your Colyton Story?

"Colyton has given me the freedom and trust to create an evolving team of students to crew all aspects of the elements that come together to put on a production. I love how the students in these roles are not the drama students, but people who have a passion and subject knowledge, alongside a skill they wish to develop further.

They can paint, sew, programme the lighting board, accurately design set items, find/create time period appropriate props, use a drill... and they develop and teach each other these skills as part of the team.

Seeing some of the students moved to tears before the penultimate performance of The Sound of Music really brought home to me the close bonds and trust developing between these students. Their kindness, generosity and curiosity combine to create remarkable students who have so much respect and value towards each other. Thank you Colyton." - Mrs Rees, Head of Department - Drama.
