PSHE
BackPSHE at Colyton Grammar School encompasses Citizenship, Careers Education, and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). It forms an integral part of our Gradus programme, which is designed to develop strong character virtues while equipping students with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to lead safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.
Through our PSHE curriculum, students are supported in developing positive relationships, maintaining good physical and mental wellbeing, becoming responsible and active citizens, and preparing successfully for their future education, employment and wider adult life.
We are fortunate to benefit from the strong support of our parents and carers for PSHE education. We are committed to ensuring that all families are informed about what is taught, why it is taught, and how it is delivered. By working in partnership with parents and carers, we aim to provide the highest quality PSHE education and support the wellbeing, development and future success of every student.
An overview of the curriculum content can be found here.
Information about the statutory RSE content of PSHE can be found here Relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education - GOV.UK and there is further information available in our RSE policy.
