Students compete in Under 19 Devon Netball Tournament

Recently, the girls had a fantastic morning at Exeter University competing in the Under 19 Devon Netball Tournament.  

They won three games against some strong opponents: Newton Abbot, Devonport and Torquay. In the play offs, they faced a well drilled Blundells side. Following some outstanding interceptions from Aoife and Manon, the score was tied at half time, but unfortunately Blundells pulled away in the second half, leaving our CGS team sixth out of 14 teams.  

The girls demonstrated some fantastic play in both attack and defence throughout, and so deserved to finish well in such a high calibre competition. Immy J was player of the tournament for her outstanding shooting and determination against strong defensive units.  

The girls were thrilled to have Mrs Devoto and baby Archie there to cheer them on too.
