News - Jul 8

Earlier this term, the school entered the University of Exeter A Level Languages Competition organised by the Department of Modern Languages, and have won first place for the second consecutive year.

Students were asked to make a short recording of up to 60 seconds in English, to answer the following:

Which place abroad would you like to visit where the language you are studying is spoken and why?

Winners were chosen based on analysis, accuracy and creativity and it was French A Level student, Hannah D, Year 13, who took joint first place. The video Hannah created described how she would like to visit Switzerland. Hopefully this wish will come true for Hannah and she can practise her French whilst visiting this beautiful country.

Hannah has won a £40 Amazon voucher and I am sure this will boost her confidence even more for university next year.
