Bestselling author Sarah Underwood gives talk to students

On Monday 11th March we were lucky enough to have alumna Sarah Underwood visit the school to talk about her debut (and bestselling!) young adult book Lies We Sing to the Sea. Sarah caught up with old teachers before a Q&A session with Year 10 in which she explained how she wrote her first book and her writing process, how she gets inspiration and overcomes writer’s block, as well as talking about future books and tips for our aspiring writers. Sarah then signed books for students following this. It was an absolute pleasure to have Sarah back at CGS and we know she left many students feeling inspired, as well as excited to read her book! We hope to welcome her back again in the future.
