Colyton Grammar School athletes attend East Devon Athletic Trials

Last week, over 50 Colyton Grammar School student athletes attended the East Devon Athletic Trials held at Exeter Arena. The sun was shining, and the conditions were great for the competitors, meaning that numerous records were broken.
Year 7 boys’ events:
Luke B – first in Javelin with a new East Devon record of 22.93m and third in Shot
Jacob A – first in the 800m
Year 7 girls’ events:
Bella C - third in Long Jump
Junior Boys events:
Oscar P - first in the 1500m with a new East Devon record of 4.25 minutes
Casper S - second in the 300m
Ben P – first in the 800m
George H – second in the 800m
Junior Girls’ events:
Holly W – third in the 7m hurdles
Niamh C – third in the 200m
Elsa R – first in the 300m and second in Long Jump
Ellie J – second in the 800m
Eliza T – third in the 800m
Sofia L – first in the 1500m
Katie H – first in Shot and 2nd in High Jump
Issy M – third in Javelin
Izzy W – second in Discus
Inter Boys’ events:
Bailey S – first in the 100m and first in High Jump
Harry C – second in the 200m and second in Long Jump
Sam S – first in the 300m
Alex K – first in the 800m
James A – second in the 800m
Dylan M – first in the 1500m
Isaac P – second in the 1500m
Oscar F – First in Shot and third in Javelin
George W – second in Javelin and second in Discus
Inter Girls’ events:
Becky M – first in Shot with a new East Devon record of 9/49m
Becky M – first in Javelin with a new East Devon record of 31.41m
Daisy R – second in the 80m Hurdles and Third in Long Jump
Clarice F-O – second in the 100m and third in Discus
Josie W – first in the 800m
Alice S – third in the 1500m
Lyra W – first in the 3000m
Annabel W – first in High Jump
Senior Boys events:
Ben H – first in the 200m with a new East Devon record of 22.9s
Temide A – first in High Jump with a new East Devon record in 1.84m
