Our senior Netball team travelled to Exeter University to compete in the National Schools Devon Round tournament.
The team faced tough competition in their pool, playing against Exeter College, Devonport, Newton Abbot and Torquay Academy. The girls worked hard throughout the matches, progressing to the play off against local rivals Kings. This was an extremely tight match with Colyton 7-4 up at half time, but a well drilled and physical Kings side clinched the win in the end, with the match finishing with a score of 10-9 to Kings.
On this occasion, we finished 7th out of 12 teams, but we know that the Year 12 students will be keen to improve on this next year. Player of the tournament went to Immy J, who showed fantastic fight and resilience against some brutal defenders. The team are next in action in the SNS Quarter Final against Redmaids High School at home.
