In Football, our Under 12 boys team kicked off their Cup campaign with a dominant 7-0 victory against Axe Valley in their first ever match for Colyton Grammar School. The team showcased fantastic teamwork, with James K and Hunter H both netting impressive hat-tricks. A brilliant performance all-around, well-done team.

Our Under 15 team came away with a well-earned victory in the close fought game against Sidmouth College. Extra time was needed with it being 1-1 after full time. During this period, our team held their nerve and attacked bravely, finally winning 3-1. Well done to all involved.

In Rugby, our Under 18 team took part in Colyton’s first senior boys’ Rugby tournament of the year as we build towards the Rosslyn Park National 7s with our first team travelling to Mount Kelly for their annual 10s competition. Placed in a challenging pool, the team faced Truro School, Plymouth College, and Cokethorpe School, with us putting in strong performances throughout as the team got used to playing this version of Rugby.

Progressing through to the Plate Semi-Final, we came up against a well matched Callywith College. We led for most of the 14-minute contest, with well worked tries and solid defensive play. However, a high penalty counts gifted Callywith too much possession, and they eventually broke through to score the decisive try. Every player put in an immense amount of effort, and we have taken positive strides forward in preparation for the upcoming competitions. This was a great learning experience and gave us plenty to build on, well done team.
