The latest edition of the Colyton Grammar School Sixth Form Academic Journal has just been published. With over 60 pages and thirteen in-depth contributions, this bumper issue offers a rich and diverse celebration of intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and academic ambition from our Sixth Form students.

This edition is also the first to be published under the new editorial team, who have brought tremendous energy and vision to the Journal’s continued development. Congratulations and thanks go to Dominic, Sreya, Aparajita, Rosie, Dylan, Sam, Angelina, Tejas, Kate, and Rosalia for curating such a wide-ranging and thought-provoking collection.

Articles this term range from the philosophy of perspective and the mathematics of computation to watchmaking in Victorian London, the economics of university admissions, epigenetics, and political technology. There are also contributions on modern literature, classical poetry in translation, and embroidery as activism – a testament to the extraordinary breadth of interests and scholarship among our students.

As always, the Journal is a reflection of both personal passions and academic rigour. Well done to all contributors, and we look forward to seeing what the next edition brings.
