Year 10 student Monty is part of the hockey pathway and competed for Devon all season. Here is his account of his season:

Playing for Devon hockey this season was an unforgettable experience. From the very first match, the team came together with focus, energy, and a real sense of purpose. We worked hard in training, developed strong chemistry, and it showed in every game we played. As a team, we went unbeaten all season. Each game tested us in different ways, but our consistency, teamwork, and determination kept us ahead of the competition.

One of the standout moments of the season was our dominant 13-2 victory over Cornwall. It was a memorable team performance, with goals coming from all areas of the pitch and everyone contributing both offensively and defensively. That match really highlighted the level we reached as a squad this season.

Throughout the season, I felt a great sense of pride in representing Devon. The support from coaches, teammates, and supporters made it even more special. Every player stepped up, and the camaraderie in the group made all the difference. Winning every game is a brilliant achievement, and to do it while playing such exciting, attacking hockey made the season even more rewarding. It’s been a brilliant journey and one I have enjoyed immensely.
