Author Visit - Dean Atta

Thanks to the Education and Outreach Team from Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival, we were lucky enough to have award-winning author Dean Atta visit the school on Thursday 23rd April.

Dean held a writing workshop with keen writers in Years 10 and 12, who all produced some fantastic bits of writing that were highly praised by Dean. Following this, Dean gave an insightful and engaging talk to Year 10 about his career, his books, and inspiration for his writing. It was particularly exciting to have Dean visit the school following his recent BAFTA win for ‘British Short Animation’ and we hope to host him again at the school in the future!
