Colyton’s U13 girls travelled to Stover on Monday for a hardball warm‑up match ahead of their upcoming county softball and hardball finals. After winning the toss, Colyton chose to bowl first and made an immediate impact, with Minnie producing a superb direct‑hit run out off the very first ball of the innings. The bowlers maintained that intensity throughout, sharing wickets between Ellie (3), Doon and Lily to restrict Stover to 106–8 from their 20 overs.

In reply, Colyton began confidently with captain Ottilie leading from the front. Lydia continued the momentum with an excellent innings, retiring on a rapid 30. Stover fielded well and kept the pressure on, but Colyton continued to build steadily. With five runs needed from the final over, Connie held her nerve and struck the required runs within the first two balls, securing a three‑wicket victory.

Player of the Match went to Lily for her strong all‑round performance with both bat and ball. A brilliant team effort.
