Essay success for Year 13 student

Over the summer holidays, Hazel M (Year 13), entered two essays into the Trinity Cambridge essay competitions – the Gould Prize for Essays in English Literature and the Languages and Cultures Essay Prize.  

We are delighted to announce that she was very successful in both competitions, becoming highly commended in the Languages and Cultures competition with an essay on eco poetry and winning first prize in the English Literature competition with an essay on comedy and silence in literature.  

The first prize of £600 will be shared with Colyton Grammar School in the form of book tokens for the school library
