Year 12 students take part in ESU Mace Debating Competition

Recently, Noah W, Kelly L and Jack F, all in Year 12, took part in the first round of the National ESU (English Speaking Union) Mace Debating Competition. They were proposing the motion ‘This House believes that environmental campaigning should focus on changing government policy rather than individual behaviours’, debating against Thomas Hardye School.
The Colyton team debated superbly and have progressed through to the next round of the competition. The Judges commented on their on the clarity, eloquence and lucidity of their arguments.
