Six Year 12 students took part in the EDT Industrial Cadets Gold Project, working with Amsafe Bristol. They were given the brief of identifying ways that they can make their product cycle more sustainable, working with two engineer mentors from the company.
This recent visit was to have a tour of the site, so that they can understand the range of products and production processes better, and also to present their progress so far to engineers and managers. The Amsafe staff were impressed with their progress and ideas, and also gave them a lot of useful feedback and ideas for future progress.
At the end of January, they will be attending a Residential Workshop at the University of Bath, to make substantial progress to their outcomes and conclusions, for which they will produce a report and present at the University in June.
