Year 8 Residential at The Mendip Activity Centre

Our Year 8 residential at The Mendip Activity Centre was a huge success.  

Students engaged in a wide range of activities including climbing, abseiling, canoeing, problem solving and an extremely muddy assault course. We stayed in tents for the week and enjoyed the centre’s great food – with some of the group becoming extremely proficient at washing up!  

It was an absolute joy to see the students gaining in confidence, supporting each other and generally creating a great sense of belonging over the course of the week. I am hugely grateful for the team of staff that I had with me; their support meant that the trip ran smoothly and helped ensure that students had a fantastic time. We are now planning and looking forward to next year’s trip!
