It has been a successful year for A Level students at Colyton Grammar School, with our students achieving more than twice the percentage of A* and A grades achieved nationally with 64.5% of grades being awarded at A* and A.
Among those achieving the top grades were 12 students with four A* and another 12 with three A*. In all, 19 students have offers from Oxbridge, one is set to study at Harvard in the USA and a further number are to attend Russell Group universities. The range of subjects’ students will study is broad, with 10 to study medicine and five law, whilst others are going on to study subjects such as drama, animation and fashion marketing as well as more traditional subjects.
Tim Harris, headmaster, commented “Once again, our students have shown what can be achieved when a supportive and encouraging learning environment is embraced. My congratulations go to them and to my colleagues who have provided a stellar learning environment for these extraordinary young people. We wish them well with the next exciting step in their lives”
