News - May 13

Ten Tors training began for our students back in October, and after weekends on the moor in snow, mist, sun and rain, the event finally took place 10-11th May.

Under the leadership of Mr Turner, 6 teams from Years 10 and 12 took on the challenge and it is a real achievement to make a team and to be on the starting line of this prestigious event. Last week, students had to undergo kit scrutineering as well as plan their routes.

This year, there was one Colyton team undertaking the 55-mile challenge, which hasn’t happened for around 10 years. A special mention should go to Mr Glazebrook for his formidable work with this group, there are not many staff that could keep up with these students.

Well done to everyone who took part, and we look forward to updating you further on how the students got on.
