Our Under 13 girls continued their strong form with a recent win over Stover in a pairs-format cricket match.
Choosing to bowl first, the team struck early with two wickets in the second over and maintained pressure throughout, taking 13 wickets including 4 run outs, with Stover finishing on 85. With the wicket bonus, Colyton began their batting on 65. They batted with discipline and great running, losing just 2 wickets in 15 overs, meaning that they finished on an impressive 168 runs.
Players’ player went to Amelia L, for her wicket and 2 run outs. The staff Player of the Match went to Bella C, who took a wicket, scored 22 runs in her pair and who was excellent in the field in her first ever game of cricket.
