Students compete in Swimming Gala

Colyton Grammar School students delivered an outstanding performance at this year’s East Devon Swimming Gala, held at Exmouth Leisure Centre. This competition saw 24 students from across all year groups face a strong field of local schools including Uffculme School, Sidmouth College, Exmouth Community College, Cullompton Community College, Honiton Community College and The Kings School.  

In the Junior categories, the boys’ team secured an impressive 1st place, with the girls finishing in a strong 2nd place. Their combined efforts earned Colyton Grammar School 1st place overall in the junior competition, reflecting both strength and consistency across events.  

The success continued at the intermediate level with the boys team finishing 2nd and the girls team delivering an outstanding performance to claim 1st place. This secured 1st place overall in this category for Colyton. With both age groups topping their respective overall standings, Colyton Grammar School was deservedly crowned overall champions of the East Devon Swimming Gala.
