Under 13 Girls team play in first hardball Cricket match of the year

In a pairs format, our Under 13 girls team played their first hardball Cricket match of the year in a game against Sidmouth.
Batting first, Colyton showed great teamwork and shot selection. Pairs Zofia and Izzy, alongside Mattie and Katy, scored 16 and 18 respectively, with the team finishing on 175-3 losing just three wickets.
In the field, Colyton were sharp and disciplined. All players bowled, with wickets shared between Amelia, Izzy (2), Beatrice (2), Lydia, Katy, Zofia and Connie. Tight bowling and strong fielding restricted Sidmouth to 95-9, giving Colyton a well-deserved win.
Player of the match went to Beatrice D (Year 7), who impressed in her first ever cricket match, taking two wickets and batting confidently. A fantastic match, well done girls!
