Students visit Wimbledon

On Thursday, in soaring 30-degree heat, Miss Hunt and Miss Thorpe had the pleasure of taking eight of our most enthusiastic tennis players to Wimbledon for a truly unforgettable day. 

We were thrilled to have secured seats on Court 1, where we watched the Men’s Doubles Semi-Finals. In the first game- lasting 3 hours- each set went to a tie-break, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. Eventually number 1 seeds were knocked out of the competition.  

Before heading to Court 1, students also had the chance to explore the iconic grounds and watch several matches on the outside courts, soaking up the unique Wimbledon experience. 

As always, our students were impeccably behaved throughout the day — a real credit to the school. It was an inspiring and memorable outing for all involved.
