We are delighted to have the support of Outlook Energy Services Ltd for our Raising Our Game appeal, which is securing funds to upgrade and renew the floodlights at our Multi-Use Games Area. The company has given to the school because: “We have experienced first-hand the critical role that highly able and educated individuals have played in our company’s success.’”

Outlook Energy is owned by alumnus Ben Spencer (OC2007) and the £50,000 gift is the largest ever made to a fundraising appeal by Colyton Grammar School Academy Trust.

This gift contributes significantly to the school's vision to progress with plans to provide a modern, quality Multi-Use Games Area and new LED lights at the school's campus in Colyford, Devon. The current pitch is worn and soon use will have to be limited. A new pitch will provide a special facility for our students to use - a quality sports provision for our community.

A positive impact on young people is a keen driver for Outlook Energy’s reason to support the school: “It is our opinion that participation in sport makes a vital contribution in shaping young personalities in a manner which will help them best apply their intellect and realise their potential. Through this contribution, we hope that we can do our bit in ensuring that the sporting experience at Colyton Grammar School matches the academic.”

Tim Harris, Head Teacher at Colyton Grammar School, commented: “Our alumni community plays a key role in forming what the school looks like today. The generous support of former students allows us to provide extra special facilities for our students to enjoy. We are extremely grateful for all the support we have had so far.”
