Our Year 7 girls hockey team played really well in the annual East Devon Hockey Tournament, held here at Colyton on our new MUGA pitch. They demonstrated great teamwork and they managed to draw with Uffculme but beat Kings by four goals to one. This secured them the title of East Devon Hockey Champions as they had the superior goal difference.

Our B team also played with determination and had some excellent matches against both Uffculme and Kings, narrowly losing by just the odd goal to both. All the players seemed to enjoy it and are already looking forward to developing their skills next season.

For the Under 13s, there was a very disappointing turn out from the other East Devon Schools for their tournament. Only Kings had entered with us, and they unfortunately could not come due to teacher illness. So, we had our three teams play a fun tournament at school. The girls enjoyed the competition but were naturally disappointed at the same time.
