Year 7 and 8 girls attend Hardball Cricket Development Day

Last week, girls from Years 7 and 8 visited Seaton Cricket Club to attend a Hardball Cricket Development Day.
The aim of the day was to build confidence and enjoyment in the sport, as well as introducing hardball cricket to those who had never played before.
The day was led by ECB coaches Ann-Marie and Damian who did a fantastic job in teaching the girls the fundamental skills of fielding, bowling and batting, as well as giving them the opportunity to play in a friendly Year 7 vs Year 8 game. The girls were also lucky enough to meet Liv, an overseas Australian cricketer who is visiting for the 2024 season.
The girls learnt so much from the day and are hoping to use their new and improved skills in their first hardball game in the upcoming Devon Cup.
