A Level Art

Over the course of A Level Art, students complete a portraiture unit and a personal project of their choice. The first allows them to explore styles of painting under the common theme ‘Beneath the Surface’, in which many chose to explore mental health, beauty ideals and heritage. In the latter, students chose topics of interest to them, often interlinking with their future degree. The personal project is a more flexible unit where students can explore different media and specialise in a medium where they feel most comfortable. The images show some of the pieces the Year 13 class has been working on over the last two years.
